With over 10 years of combined training experience, Carolina Ballistics and Training Academy specializes in firearm education, safety, and training in the Carolinas.

We take pride in teaching you how to safely defend yourself, your home, and your community. It’s your right to own and carry a firearm and by being properly trained you'll sleep better at night knowing you're armed and capable of skillfully using a gun.

Here is the ugly truth, 100s of people die or get hurt each year from crime and accidental shootings which could have been prevented by applying some of the simple techniques that we offer.

Meet The Team

  • Daniel Erwin - CEO

    A little on the background of the owner. Six years out of the 82nd as 11b. Serve in almost every position from rifleman to team lead. The current mos is 35m. Trained out of the Defensive Language Institute and Speaks Russian fluently. Associate and bachelor's degree from Purdue University, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in domestic terrorism. Graduated sum cum laud. My master’s degree is in homeland security and crisis management. I am working on a Juris Doctorate.

    We aim to ensure you know how to shoot and navigate federal, state, and local law.

    Our ability to teach people about firearms is limitless. We have experience in competition shooting, long-range pistol, 3-gun, home security, law enforcement, military, and police. Pretty much, if you can think of it, we got you!

  • David Harris | Lead Instructor

    As the lead instructor, I am honored to be responsible for training military, law enforcement, and civilian personnel in pistol and rifle shooting, covering both short and long-range techniques. Additionally, I take pride in developing and reviewing curriculum that ensures the highest standards of instruction. With a focus on close-quarters battle (CQB), I am dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills needed to excel!

    My experience includes over 20+ years in the United States Army, including over 16 years in the SOF community with Army Special Forces, where I served as a Sergeant First Class as an 18B. This includes many combat-related deployments and retirement, distinguished with honors within the Special Forces community. I am hard-working. I am driven, and I love my country.
